Cindy Lin is an award-nominated set and costume designer from southern California, working primarily in the UK and US. She studied at the University of Southern California (BA Film and Television Production) and then furthered her training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (MA Theatre Design). Her film background combined with a passion for live performance gives Cindy a unique approach to visual storytelling and inspires atmospheric design.

Theatre credits include: 2:22 (West End), Untitled Baby Play (IAMA), Free Play (CSUN), Screwdriver (Lyric Hammersmith), Actually (Trafalgar Studios), Wonder Winterland (Soho Theatre), Dismantle This Room (Royal Court Theatre and Bush Theatre), Breathe (Bunker Theatre), Hurricane Protest Songs (Graeae), Might Never Happen (King’s Head Theatre), Electra (RWCMD).

Opera credits include: Madam Butterfly (OperaUpClose), Faust AlbertaOrpheus and Eurydice (Opera in the City Festival).

Dance credits include: Heist (Zoielogic).

Cindy was part of the Old Vic 12 cohort (2020-2021), a Linbury Prize finalist in 2015, short-listed for the British Council Ukraine Prize in 2015, and Royal Opera House bursary recipient in 2017.
